Spells of the Curtain Book 5 Released!

I’ve been remiss in announcing the latest release but seeing as I’ve begun work on book 6 in earnest, I suppose it’s a good idea to formally announce the release of book 5, Traveling Mage, on this blog.

Yes, book 5 of the Spells of the Curtain series is live, and it has a LOT of adventure in it, considering its small size.

Edmath and his allies travel to the northern coast of the empire to investigate a strange sign. What they find has the possibility to change everything going forward.

If you haven’t picked up the other books in the series now is as a good a time as ever. Check out the series page here.

I always mean to post more here, but I hope you will indulge the brevity I have here. There is fiction to be written, and I must get back to it.

Thanks for reading!

Spells of the Curtain – Garden Mage is out and about!

Hey folks!

Hope the image isn’t repetitive for you, but I am writing to formally announce the launch of Garden Mage!

Garden Mage is book 4 of the Spells of the Curtain series, following the adventures of Edmath and his fellow mages as they get into trouble working in the Empire of Zel.

I took far too long to write this book, not least of all because I wrote another short book in about a week between the prior book’s release and this one. I apologize for being late. This will be the last time I overestimate my ability to keep the schedule, and also the last time I fall behind.

Thanks for your support and assistance, and I hope you will check out the series. It’s a real labor of love for me, and I’m thrilled reception has been as good as its been.

Thanks for reading! I’ll be back soon with more status reports and general ramblings.

A Few Days Late

Hi, everyone. I just want to officially say I’m not done with Garden Mage just yet. I promise it will be worth another few days waiting. If you’re reading the series as it comes out, thank you for your patience. This fast release is new to me, and I will get better at it going forward.

Thanks for understanding. I don’t expect the wait will be more than a few days to a week.

Thanks for reading.

(Jeez there are a lot of Thanks in this post. Hope no one notices… Shhhh)

The Bright Image has Launched!

Things have gotten serious for this week!

First of all, Thr Bright Image, Clean Book 3, has released in ebook format! Check it out here.

This book was a bear to write, but the books I’m working on now actually have bears and other large animals in them in prominent roles, so it sort of works out. I’ve gotten to the point where I really like the book, and now it’s out there, so give it a try and see if you feel the same way.

Jethro Gall’s story continues in this volume, and next week book 2 will be on sale. Give all three a read, seriously, it would really help me out and get me blogging more positively if that’s important to you.

Thanks, and here is the cover again, with a link to the book as well.

Thanks for reading!

2017 Last Words

Well, I missed a lot of blogging this year.

I can’t promise next year will see me on this site more often, but that is the plan.

So, as for 2017, I’m spending a few minutes of the last hour typing these words.

2017 has been a pretty good year for me, though far from perfect.

My mother was diagnosed with a serious disease, however possible to treat.

I published three books, Tenlyres, Soul Art, and The Mangrove Suite. I’m happy with all three of these books, especially the last one on the list.

I talked a lot with a few of my friends, and almost none with most of the others. I started a podcast, Alive After Reading, and continued the other podcast with my cohost.

I figured out which of my medications are still valuable, but at a pretty high cost in time.

Anyway, I’m tired. It’s a late hour, the last one of the year. Happy new year.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to talk to you again soon.

2017
So long 2017.

Good night sweet prince.

Sayonara sucker!

Now we can’t pretend the whole thing didn’t happen, but we can try to do better next time.

Good luck, everyone.

Mental

Good Monday to all and to all a good morning.

I am facing quite a challenge today (To tackle as soon as I stop yawning every five seconds). Today is the first day of a new attempt at a work schedule. The schedule? Eight AM to Eleven AM will be writing time on weekdays.

Three hours. Three hours of writing all in a row.

That may not sound like a lot, but overall it means about 4000 words if I stick to it with enthusiasm and discipline.

I would love to do that many words, that much story, each day. I will love it, is how I should write that.

The work of a few hours a day will really add up fast. And my current project, the sequel to Hunter and Seed, really needs to get done.

In related news, I am editing a much longer book into a pair of smaller books now. We will see how difficult that gets, especially because I have to give priority to the sequel I mentioned above. My hopes for getting two series out this year are high.

But right now, it all feels a little mental, as the Brits might say.

Hence the title of this post.

My books can still be found on Amazon and elsewhere if anyone is interested.

Thanks for reading.

Tenlyres Complete Release

My latest book, a little novel called Tenlyres, is out today!

For those who have been reading the serial, this release goes all the way to the end of the story. That is well ahead of the spot where the serial is right now.

It’s been a hard road, writing this book. It’s been worth it. Buy a copy for the price of a cup of coffee and support me and the serial.
