I have been a bit remiss in posting over the past month or so. This issue did not arise from a single problem but originated in a combination of depression, anxiety, and fatigue. I have never exactly been regular in my moods, but January seriously saw me down at times. Well, things are on the upswing again.
I am working on the third book in The Pillar Universe series, which is going pretty well at the moment. That book is entitled, Ice War, and marks the finale of the original story I wrote in this universe a few years ago.
After this, I will continue the series with more books, because I really have fallen for these characters and I’m confident more people will feel the same way.
In related news, I have the second book, Flame Wind out and never really announced it officially. Consider it official.
Thanks for reading. I will be back sooner rather than later.
As of this writing, Storm Fleet, the Pillar Universe Book One is out for reading on Amazon.com! Check it out, enjoy it, and then write a review.
Read it free in Kindle Unlimited if you like.
Really, I’m just very excited about this story and want to get more people to see it. Please, share if you’re intrigued.
Thank you for reading!
I hope you all have a good last two weeks of 2018, rough as this year has been.
I’ve been remiss in announcing the latest release but seeing as I’ve begun work on book 6 in earnest, I suppose it’s a good idea to formally announce the release of book 5, Traveling Mage, on this blog.
Yes, book 5 of the Spells of the Curtain series is live, and it has a LOT of adventure in it, considering its small size.
Edmath and his allies travel to the northern coast of the empire to investigate a strange sign. What they find has the possibility to change everything going forward.
If you haven’t picked up the other books in the series now is as a good a time as ever. Check out the series page here.
I always mean to post more here, but I hope you will indulge the brevity I have here. There is fiction to be written, and I must get back to it.
Thanks for reading!
Hope the image isn’t repetitive for you, but I am writing to formally announce the launch of Garden Mage!
Garden Mage is book 4 of the Spells of the Curtain series, following the adventures of Edmath and his fellow mages as they get into trouble working in the Empire of Zel.
I took far too long to write this book, not least of all because I wrote another short book in about a week between the prior book’s release and this one. I apologize for being late. This will be the last time I overestimate my ability to keep the schedule, and also the last time I fall behind.
Thanks for your support and assistance, and I hope you will check out the series. It’s a real labor of love for me, and I’m thrilled reception has been as good as its been.
Thanks for reading! I’ll be back soon with more status reports and general ramblings.
Hi everybody! It’s been a few weeks. I’m pleased to make two announcements,.
First. Book Four of the Spells of the Curtain, Garden Mage, will be out later today (or tomorrow depending on your time zone).
Second. Book one of the same series is free for the next five days!
Get Book One, Court Mage, for free right now!
Thanks for reading!
Hi, everyone. I just want to officially say I’m not done with Garden Mage just yet. I promise it will be worth another few days waiting. If you’re reading the series as it comes out, thank you for your patience. This fast release is new to me, and I will get better at it going forward.
Thanks for understanding. I don’t expect the wait will be more than a few days to a week.
Thanks for reading.
(Jeez there are a lot of Thanks in this post. Hope no one notices… Shhhh)
Before I get writing fiction today, I figured it’d be a good time to announce the book of mine that launched yesterday. Yep, book 3 of the Spells of the Curtain Series is out now! It’s called Winter Mage and covers the rest of the original novel I wrote over nine years ago. The story doesn’t end in this one, but a new arc begins. No spoilers, but I love this book and I’m gonna love the next one
You know, I used to write these blog posts in the same program I write books in, Scrivener. I don’t know why I stopped, but here we are. I like typing straight into the posting window. It feels more immediate somehow.
Also, my glasses broke this morning. I just picked them up and it’s a good thing I had a backup pair because one of the parts that hangs over an ear (Arms? Is that what you call them?) broke off. I’ll get them fixed or replaced soon, but the only reason I can see to type this is my older glasses now perched on my nose. It’s oddly present to me how fragile my sight really is these days. I can navigate outside without glasses, but good luck indoors.
Anyway, I am very excited for how well my books are doing out there right now. Compared to a lot of people I’m just now seeing a little success, but I’m grateful for all of it. One step at a time, folks. One step at a time.
Well, the timer never started, but I think I’m getting there. That sure seems to be the way of things today.
Thanks for reading.
Talk to you again soon.
